The Beauty Bubble
I’ve decided to make my first post about my current essential make up items that I think are worth the hype. Of course I have more than these three that I see as essential in my make up routine but these are the more hyped up ones (albeit more expensive too) in the make up community.
1. “Hoola” Bronzer from Benefit
This was my first non-drugstore bronzer which I finally purchased after reading reviews on countless other high end bronzers and finding that this was almost always at the top of the list for most. The problem I had with drugstore bronzers was that they always looked too orange on my skin (like a cast member of Jersey Shore was applying my make up). I mainly used bronzer for the winter months since my skin really needed the extra colour but because it was so white I had to be careful about the colour of my bronzer. The thing I love about the Hoola bronzer is that it’s a matte bronzer that’s a perfect bronze to suit any skin tone. For me, with pale but yellow toned skin, it comes out looking like a believable tan (if I apply it with a big fluffy brush) however even works well for contouring and doesn’t look muddy or orange, which can happen with pale skin. It also lasts AGES, and I’ve only hit pan on mine after having it for a solid 10 months.
I definitely recommend this if you’re in the market for a good quality bronzer that’s not orange or sparkly and looks believable.
